Stars and Banners

Valentyna, #flourishtina.com (2)Hello!
It’s time for the new challenge over BTBB2 and theme  for this week is Stars and Banners, chosen by Michelle. And here is my Let’s Celebrate card. I used image from Independence Day – Celebration digital set. I wanted to make a fireworks and decided not print it, because I simply don’t like how it prints. I changed settings to write and cut.
After choosing image, I turned off few underneath layers, I didn’t need them.
axThan changed settings for those I wanted to use. Write for the fireworks.
az And left cut for the stars
asTogether before cutting it looked like this
aaThen I just follow instructions and put different colours of pen in slot after every layer. I used Slick Writers. I have pack of 18 – 9 with fine tip and 9 with medium. They work pretty well with Cricut Explore.
IMG_3924After writing and cutting it looked a little bit weird. I had to colour some spots with the same markers.
IMG_3925Next step – cutting the main panel using rectangular die and stamping the sentiment.

What a wonderful card for Independence day! Great Idea to have your Explore draw the fireworks instead of cut them!! Again, I love the embossed stitched edge – so neat looking. And your sentiment is so clean and bright! Love that.

    Hugs,

Your card is very cool looking Valentyna! I love how you did the write and cut feature on the Explore. I also love that you colored in your fireworks, I like it much better this way. What a fun and festive card!!! Hugs, Brenda

love that 4th of July card and the others that you published recently. I tried to cut this fireworks cut and it was a disaster, so I used a pen too and then cut the outside shape. I love your version so much, I’ll have to give it a try. Have a great holiday.

Loved seeing how you made it! I agree it looks better the way you colored it in-much more striking! I’m going to have to try the pens at some point…Hope you had a marvelous 4th!
    🙂
