Pink Sparkle

Valentyna Komisarenko, July 15Hello and thank you for stopping by!
Today I have two card to share. This one is for The Color Throwdown challenge when I am honored to be a guest designer for the July. This week palette is vibrant and sparkling - purple, pink, black, sparkle.
swatch+351 I didn’t think long to get started with card. Sparkles for me – it’s a glitter. I just love doing glitter card with Cricut shapes and two sided adhesive. Firstly, I chose a shape from the Damask Decor Cartridge, set the size and cut with Cricut Explore.
CM JulyIMG_3855Then to be sure everything is going to be in the right place I put the base into MISTI tool and positioned the cut shape.
IMG_3856 IMG_3857After that I pilled one side of the cut and adhered it to the base.
IMG_3859And chose the colours of glitter. I went with Martha Stewart fine glitter – graphite, amethyst and purple spinel – darkest for the middle and lighter to the end of the image.
IMG_3860Next goes the most tricky part. I started from pilling off some of the part of image to glitter it.
IMG_3861I moved from the outside to the center, pilling part by part the image and applying glitter.
IMG_3862And here is the end result.
IMG_3864To finish my card off I just added sentiment with Memento Black ink and Clearly Besotted sentiment, and adhered the glittered panel with 3D foam tape to the base.

Gorgeous card Valentyna. I love your take on the colors. The damask die-cut is so elegant and the glitter looks wonderful on top. So elegant and classy… and very creative.

This is absolutely fantastic! I LOVE seeing your process for adding the glitter! I never would think to do that, but you make it look so easy. And the card is just beautiful!
