HLS August Masking

IMG_3849aHello friend!
It’s time for the August CAS challenge over the Happy Little Stampers. This month theme is MASKING!!! The most amazing technique. Love, love, love it! And here is the card I came up with.
First of all I cut the base with SSS Stitched Die and then with Cricut Explore – fancy squares.
IMG_3494Next step – I taped the stencil with posted tape, covering the part I didn’t want to be colored.
IMG_3496Coloring with distressing didn’t take long. As you can see I used make-up sponges for my distress.
IMG_3498Here is how it looks right after coloring was finished.
IMG_3500To pop up the top panel from the card base, I adhered some 3D foam tape to the top part.
IMG_3501Then I added foam to the squares, I was going to use.
IMG_3502 When the colored part was placed into the place I stamped boat and sentiment.
IMG_3515To add some interest to the inside, I stenciled same waves too.
IMG_3517Hope you like this card!

Have fun!
