HLS August CAS

HLS Mix Mash, Birthday Friends, #flourishtina.comHello everyone,
It’s time for the brand-new challenge over Happy Little Stampers and for this month we want you to use masking technique for your card.

I used masking to cover stamped image (hippo) and make a water colored background. Wasn’t sure about success, as the masking paper didn’t collaborate properly with water colored paper. But everything turned out pretty good. My hippo is white and clean 🙂 and the background is very water colored. For the sentiment I stamped line from Mix Mash set and another line from Birthday Friends with Versa Fine Onyx ink. Usually I use Memento Black ink but it’s almost impossible to get good impression on water color paper.

That hippo is so adorable and he looks right at home with his multicoloured water-colour BG. Super cool and smooth. Great stitching detail and Thanks for playing along at AAA Cards this week. Sarah

Love the watercoloured background! Congratulations on getting a clean mask as I have tried masking and adding brushos but it always seems to seep into my mask :(, so glad yours came out beautifully! Encourages me to try again.
